Use this page as a quick reference for all key stats, filters, and terms used across PropsMadness. These definitions will help you understand what you’re seeing in player dashboards, filters, and matchups.

πŸ”„ Player Tendencies

  • DPT – Dominant Play Type
    The play type from which a player scores the highest % of their total points.

  • DSZ – Dominant Shot Zone
    The court area from which a player scores the most.

  • DAZ – Dominant Assist Zone
    The zone where a player delivers the highest % of their assists.

πŸ›‘οΈOpponent Metrics (Rankings)

  • OPP D-RANK – Opponent's Defensive Rank
    How well a team defends overall. Lower rank = better defense.

  • OPP ALLOWED – Opponent's Stat Allowance Rank
    Indicates how much the opposing team allows for a specific stat or market. Lower = less allowed (tougher matchup).

  • Opp D-Rank vs Position
    Shows how the opposing team ranks in allowing stats for the selected market (e.g., Pts+Reb+Ast) to players in the same position as the selected player. Automatically adjusts based on the chosen market.

πŸ“Š Core Stats

  • PITP – Points in the Paint
    Total points scored inside the paint area.

  • 3PA – Three Pointers Attempted

  • USG% – Usage Percentage
    The % of team plays used by the player while on the floor.

  • FGA – Field Goals Attempted

  • FG% – Field Goal Percentage

  • 3P – Three Pointers Made

  • FTA – Free Throws Attempted

  • H2H – Head-to-Head Games
    Past matchups between this player and the current opponent.

  • B2B – Back-to-Back Games
    Indicates if the player is playing on consecutive nights.

  • Playoff – Playoff Games

  • Regular – Regular Season Games

  • Home - Games played on home court

  • Away - Games played on the road

  • Won by - Keeping games that the players team won by the selected range of points

  • Lost by - Keeping games that the players team lost by the selected range of points

🧠 Notes on Rankings & Filters

  • Playoff vs Regular Season Context:
    Rankings and color grading are based on the competition:

    • Playoffs: Worst defense = rank 16

    • Regular season: Worst defense = rank 30

  • Contextual Views:

    • "Regular/Playoff" filters apply to the graph, shotmaps and play types

    • "At Game-Time (L15)" applies to all rankings across, excluding Playtypes and vs Position rankings
